Galaxy S4 packed with Snapdragon 800 SoC makes an appearance in an Antutu benchmark

A Galaxy S4 equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC reportedly made an appearance on Antutu benchmarks. There have been many rumours stating that Samsung is working on a Galaxy S4 variant packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC but there wasn’t any hard evidence supporting the rumour, until today.
According to the leaked benchmark, the device will run Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and feature a 2.3GHz processor. Currently, the only SoC known to achieve this kind of clock speed is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800. If this device is indeed equipped with a Snapdragon 800 SoC, it will pack the Adreno 330 GPU as well. The benchmark also reveals that the device will carry “SHV-E330S” as its model number.galaxy-s4-shv-e330s-antutu-benchmark-1
The device achieved an Antutu score of 24179 which doesn’t look anything like a Snapdragon 800 SoC’s score, but the benchmarked device could be an early prototype that’s why the low score. The current Galaxy S4 variants score better in the same benchmark.
The Samsung SHV-E330S is scheduled to be released in August, which corresponds to LTE-Advanced’s September launch in South Korea, reports rbmen. The device will be exclusive to the South Korean market.
