Last week we already spotted the Galaxy Note III and
today we can confirm that device has been shipped in very low
quantities for R&D purposes, we expect the device to pop-up at the
Bluetooth Special Interest Group in the coming weeks, although there
won’t be announcement on the 20th of June during Samsung’s press event,
where a number of new devices like the Galaxy SIV Zoom will be unveiled.
The Galaxy Note III carries the model number SM-N900, which means that it lost it’s last zero just like the SM-C1010 -> SM-C101 (Galaxy SIV Camera).
Samsung’s high-end phablet is likely to feature Qualcomm’s quad-core
Snapdragon 800 that is clocked at 2.3GHz with an Adreno 330 GPU,
13-megapixel camera, LTE support, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and of course a giant
5.99-inch 1080p super-amoled display. That’s all we know so far, but it
is expected that it will run Android 4.2.2 with Samsung’s own TouchWiz
interface for improved S-PEN functionality.
This however isn’t the only device in the works, because we can also
confirm that the second-generation Galaxy Camera is coming with a 20.9-megapixel sensor and the Galaxy SIV LTE-Advanced (SHV-E330S) with the new and powerful Snapdragon 800-soc (MSM8974).
Expect something even bigger tomorrow.
