Analyst firm Flurry summarized activations mobile devices based on Android OS and iOS in the Catholic Christmas Day (December 25). Traditionally, on this day give a lot of gifts, among which are often portable electronics.According to Flurry, December 25th in the world was activated 17.4 million iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy S III, Amazon Kindle Fire and so on.

Experts point out that this is a record number: for example, last year at Christmas was activated in 2.5 times less devices (approximately 6.8 million). In addition, the number of activations on December 25 in a few times more than on other days of December: analysts found that from 1 to 20 December 2012 are activated, on average, about 4 million smartphones and tablets. Finally, Flurry notes that Christmas this year, 51% of the activated device was in the tablets, and 49% - to the smartphone.
