South Korea's Samsung Elecrtonics announced its financial results for
the third quarter of 2012, where she recorded revenues at around 52.18
trillion Korean won (~ $ 47.59 billion) on a consolidated basis, an
increase of 26% compared to the same period last year .
For the quarter consolidated operating profit reached a record 8.12 trillion Korean won (~ $ 7.41 billion), thus showing 91 percent growth in alignment with the previous year. Consolidated net income of 6.56 trillion Korean won (~ $ 5.98 billion).
Good performance in the past quarter, the company attributed primarily to higher sales of mobile terminals and increasing demand for flat panel displays. Mobile company division, including the release of mobile phones (Mobile Communications Business), showed an income of 26.25 trillion Korean won (~ $ 23.94 billion), representing more than half of the total number and 82% higher compared to last year.
The company looks forward to continuing the positive trend of growth in the mobile phone market in the fourth quarter, especially in countries with developing economies.
