Operator Tele2 has summed up the activity of their roaming subscribers
in 2012. During the year the number of users of international roaming
services has doubled, and the number of outgoing calls, subscribers
Tele2 committed abroad has tripled. In 2012, the consumption of mobile
services in roaming Tele2 has increased significantly. Volume data
demonstrated unprecedented momentum, growing by more than six times
compared to 2011. The number of SMS, sent to subscribers of Tele2 from
abroad has increased by 75% and the number of calls for international
roaming has doubled. In 2012, Tele2 subscribers were 70% more incoming
calls than the year before. Among the most popular roaming areas in 2012
were the countries of the CIS, Finland, Germany, Italy, Poland,
Estonia, Great Britain, France, Sweden and the Czech Republic. Also
popular were the traditional destinations of Russian tourists, Egypt,
Spain, Turkey, Cyprus, Greece and Thailand. Last year, the company's
subscribers have visited and the most exotic places on the planet,
including: Antigua and Barbuda, Fiji, Grenada, Liberia, Bahrain,
Australia, Peru, New Zealand, Burundi, Benin, Botswana, Greenland and
the islands of Cape Verde. In 2012, more than any other Tele2
subscribers traveling from St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Izhevsk.
