Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset by Monster is available now, so we’re going to look at them in more detail to find out why we should all have a pair.
The Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset by Monster is
the perfect accessory if you’re looking for the ultimate music
experience. Designed using striking colours to help you stand out from
the crowd, the red, yellow, white and black Purity Pro delivers music to
your ears, in style.
We’re sure it hasn’t escaped your attention that these bold colours are
in line with Nokia’s current Lumia range, and that’s no accident –
they’re a perfect match. And because the Purity Pro has NFC built in,
connecting to your phone is as simple as touching the phone and headset
together. Additionally, these work perfectly on any Bluetooth device, or
with the included 3.5mm cable.
As with the Nokia Lumia 920 or Lumia 820,
the glossy polycarbonate material that these are made of have the
colours ingrained and not painted on the outside. So, any scratches or
scuffs that may develop along its lifetime will be barely noticeable.
When it comes to sound, Nokia has a long history of delivering the best
sound possible. Not only does the Purity Pro offer Active Noise
Cancellation (ANC) to block out external sounds, but also the perfectly
formed pads cover the entire ear to stop further noise.
Geetanjali Sharma, Product Manager at Nokia explains more:
“We understand that people want the best possible audio experience from a headset. When listening to music with the Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset by Monster, the ambient noise that surrounds most people in everyday life is cancelled out by the ANC. What you hear is just the music and nothing else – the way it should be.”
Geetanjali continued to tell us that ANC only activates when your
wearing the Purity Pro, thanks to one of the many sensors built into the
headset. And in fact it activates on the moment you put the headset on,
which is pretty cool! Not only is this great use of technology, but it
also saves battery life, too – as does the ‘unfold to power on’
function.
We were also interested in knowing if the ANC would work if no music was
playing, and interestingly it does. That’s good news for people with
noisy neighbours, chatterbox work colleagues or those just wanting to
shut the world out for some peace and quiet.
Music can be controlled through your phones music player, or by using
the controls on the headset. These can be found by the ear pads and
offer the usual functions like next/previous track, play/pause, volume
up and down as well as for accepting and disconnecting phone calls.
Out of the box, you can expect to find a Nokia Purity Pro Wireless
Stereo headset, a 3.5mm audio cable that matches the colour of the
headset and a carrying pouch to carry the Purity Pro around – if you
don’t fancy wearing them around your neck. Oh, and an instruction
booklet, of course.
The Nokia Purity Pro Wireless Stereo Headset by Monster is available now and costs approximately €299.
