The mobile operator "MTS Ukraine" announced record growth of Internet
traffic that was passed and loaded MTS subscribers in the first quarter
of 2013
The total mobile internet traffic, loaded and sent to the subscriber "MTS Ukraine" from January to April 2013, reached 2.6 petabytes.
According to the statement, the highest traffic growth was in the service of access to the Internet-based technologies GPRS / EDGE - users of this service was sent and downloaded 30% more traffic than last year. The rise in popularity of mobile Internet on the basis of GPRS / EDGE technology is directly tied to the growing number of smart phones on the network operator.
Daily consumption of the traffic in the first quarter of 2013 with an average of more than 50 TB. Total capacity of mobile access to the Internet from "MTS Ukraine" in the first quarter of 2013 benefited from approximately 8,000,000 subscribers.
