Sony Xperia S gets update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean - hoax [Update]

As the French Twitter channel of Sony Xperia announced this morning, the update will be made available to Android 4.1.2 now available for the Sony Xperia S. 

Thus the former flagship smartphone of the year last spring is still supplied with a serving of jelly beans. Whether the update is already available for German devices, is not yet known at this time. A request was sent to us by Sony Germany. As with all other devices should be much faster and smoother with Jelly Bean the device.

However, the implementation of new apps, settings or widget can not be excluded.

To check your device for an update should it connect you with the PC / Mac and Sony's own software PC Companion call. Then you should selbiges offered. If in doubt, you have to repeat this step several times.

Like us on Sony Xperia Germany announced its Twitter channel , it is at the top homemade statement a hoax. Thus, the update will be rolled out to Android Jelly Bean for the Sony Xperia S neither in Germany nor in France.

The official date is therefore still out, so that the users still need some patience.
