QUAD COMPETITOR APPLE IPAD MINI WOULD COST ONLY $ 149

A couple of days ago we wrote about the fact that Acer will soon will launch extra-tablet Iconia A1-810 , which has a serious competitor to Apple iPad Mini - both devices have 7.9-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
Then we learned and European cost of new items - 199 euros. DigiTimes reports that Acer was planning to sell U.S. unit for $ 250, but changed her mind and decided to go to extreme measures to set the bar for $ 100 less. Now it is expected that the tablet will be sold in the U.S. for just $ 149.
With such a price the device will compete not only with the tablet Apple, but with the Google Nexus 7 (costs from $ 199), and with the ASUS MeMo Pad , sales of which have just begun in the U.S. (it also costs $ 149.) In case of equal value with the device ASUS Acer will have an advantage in the display - 7.9-inch IPS-matrix (versus 7-inch TN) and the CPU (single-core vs. quad-core chip).
Recall, the device has a quad-core MediaTek MT8125 ARM Cortex-A9 processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory plyuc support microSD, two cameras - 0.3 MP front and 5-megapixel primary. There is microHDMI-port modules Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Battery capacity - 3250 mAh. The new device is running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, its dimensions - 208,7 x 145,7 x 10,5 mm, weight - 460 grams.
It is noted that the interest rate on the cheap Acer tablet has played in full. Compared with the 4th quarter of last year, in the 1st quarter of the supply of tablet computers rose by 260-300%. Approximately 70-75% of all deliveries occurred in fiscal Iconia B1 . If earlier the company planned to implement in 2013, 5 million tablets, now this figure has risen to 10 million.
