The President signed a law abolishing the "mobile slavery"

We have already mentioned the fact that the State Duma is considering amendments to the law "On communication", the result of the adoption of which would repeal the so-called "mobile slavery." That is, subscribers can move from one mobile operator to another while preserving their own room. Now this amendment signed by President Vladimir Putin - stated on its website. Thus, service number portability (Mobile Number Portability, MNP) will indeed be implemented in Russia. Moreover, as stated in the amendments to the law, the ability to retain the number when changing mobile operator will from December 1, 2013, instead of 1 March 2014 (on the postponement asked operators). To save a number, a user would have to submit an application and pay their debts to the operator (if any). The operator, losing party is obliged to transfer the number to the network of other telecommunications companies. She, in turn, will enable the new number in the number of its service and the subscriber will have in its network. The fee for the new service can not exceed $ 100.
