Nobel Laureate Claude Cohen Tannoudji: research and technology are essential partners

As we move in to the Networked Society, joint Nobel Laureate in Physics, Claude Cohen Tannoudji, says research and technology enjoy a mutually beneficial dependency in helping to advance society.

Tannoudji, who received the 1997 Nobel Prize in Physics jointly with Steven Chu and William D Phillips for "development of methods to cool and trap atoms with laser light" talks about how innovation helps to define changes between generations.

He says technology and research have vital roles to play in the continued development of mankind.
