Operator "Rostelecom" announced the launch of the third generation (3G +) in seven regions of the Volga Region: Samara, Orenburg, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk and Penza regions and the Republic of Tatarstan. Subscribers of "Rostelecom" will be able to use the mobile internet to a new level of data rates - up to 21 Mbit / s. 3G + network is constructed using modern technology HSPA +, which provides data rates up to 21 Mbit / s (with the ability to increase the speed up to 42 Mbit / s). "Rostelecom" and its subsidiaries (HCC IOO UCC, Sky Link, Volgograd GSM , ICCO, ICE) offers mobile services in 59 regions of Russia, with more than 13.6 million subscribers. The company is building a mobile network of the third generation in the 27 regions of Russia. Total scheduled to install more than 8 thousand base stations. Suppliers of equipment and solutions for the 3G + network are Ericsson and Huawei.
