CIOs, partners and analysts across 50 countries discuss latest ICT development trends and industry topics with Huawei experts, focusing on informationization of global enterprises
Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today hosted the "Huawei Global CIO Forum" (the Forum) at CeBIT 2013. CIOs, partners and industry analysts from 50 countries shared their insights and experience on the latest developments and issues in the enterprise ICT domain at the Forum, jointly developing roadmaps for enterprises to connect with endless business opportunities and helps organizations take on the challenges brought about by the new trends of ICT convergence.
Themed "Connecting Business Opportunities in a Better Way", the "Huawei
Global CIO Forum" focuses on the topics of informationization,
efficiency improvement as well as value creation and enhancement. Main
topics discussed include how IT platforms can help improve business
efficiency; how container data centers can help users accelerate product
launches; how smart campuses can help enhance energy efficiency; and
how mobile office is changing our work and lifestyles. Huawei’s success
case studies in assisting enterprise customers with informationization
were also shared at the Forum.
Mr. Patrick Zhang, President of Marketing and Solutions, Huawei
Enterprise said: "With the ‘Huawei Global CIO Forum’, we wanted to
establish a platform where CIOs from enterprises around the world can
engage in constructive discussions with peers, industry consultants and
Huawei experts. The in-depth dialogues and insightful conversations will
help all of us better understand the industry and capture market

The Forum comprises two components, including keynote speeches and
roundtable discussions. A host of renowned industry professionals and
guests from Huawei’s partner companies attended the event, including Mr.
Oliver T. Bussmann, CIO and Executive Vice President of Huawei’s
strategic partner SAP, and Dr. Rupert Deger, Vice President for Business
Development of technology solutions provider PTC. ICT experts from
Huawei were also present at the Forum to participate in the interactive
discussion, including Mr. Ronald Raffensperger, CTO of IT Solution
Sales; Mr. Zhou Liangjun, Vice President of Marketing and Solutions at
Huawei Enterprise; Mr. Fang Liangzhou, Vice President of Network Energy
Product Line and Mr. Ralph Ulrich Schmidt, Director of Enterprise
Marketing and Solutions in Western Europe.
Keynote speaker at the Forum, Mr. Oliver T. Bussmann, CIO and Vice
President of SAP, said: "It is a great honor to participate in the
‘Huawei Global CIO Forum’ and to be able to discuss the trends and
challenges in ICT development with these industry leaders. Many CIOs
realize that the development of ICT has profoundly impacted business
models and operations, but not many know how to effectively respond to
it. The ‘Huawei Global CIO Forum’ is a valuable platform for the
industry to discuss, analyze and share experiences, and I look forward
to future collaborations with Huawei in fostering such constructive
industry dialogue, which will contribute to preparing global enterprises

The Forum culminated in an all-hands roundtable, with active
participation from customers, partners and industry experts. During the
hour-long roundtable discussion, participants explored potential
strategies to help enterprises realize business transformation and
capture business opportunities through innovative ICT technologies. The
participants also actively shared the experiences and challenges they
faced in building their ICT infrastructure.
